FinnLinks

This here page is a place where i want to give you some good and useful information about the country i live in, Finland. If you ever want to come and visit this small place, be sure to check atleast some of them out. Most of the sites below are in several languages, Finnish, Swedish, English and German being the most common ones.

First up, Virtual Finland website with lots of information and links. Very much useful to visitors and citizen alike.

Homepages for the President Of The Republic Of Finland, whoa, that looks almost too formal. Anyway, here it is if you are interested in seeing pictures of her cats and turtles, among other things.

The Parliament of Finland and a lot of boring stuff about their recent doings. If you're into that kinda thing.

This one is very much useful to us living here, the Citizen's Guide/Handbook or Kansalaisen käsikirja in finnish. Its about the laws and rights a citizen of this country have.

Okay, i know this might seem a bit weird, but i think this is really useful, its called StatFin -tilastopalvelu that you can search different finnish statistics from. Only in finnish.

Site about the city i live in, called Helsinki, and which i love. Its small, beautiful, kinda old and frequently has the feel of a metropolis...after few beers on a summer weekend :)

Here is a link to what the CIA's view of Finland is, from CIA - World Factbook. Other countries can be found from The World Factbook - country listing.

Here is a bit info on the Finnish National Epic, Kalevala and it has some really good links too. If you are interested in it, please email me and i can help you out a bit more. Or you could just use Metacrawler, which ever you think is proper ;)

Here are some of the finnish festivals that i think are worth mentioning. These links are also in the Musiclinks section, but i thought it good to add them here too. RuisRock festival in Turku, IlosaariRock festival in Joensuu, ProvinssiRock festival in Seinäjoki and Tuska Metal Fest in Helsinki downtown.

So, there we are, i'll add more links to this when i see something i think is worth it or something that might be useful. Until that time, these will have to suffice.
